Peritoneal Mesothelioma

This rare type of cancer is also related to asbestos exposure. Peritoneal mesothelioma grows in the tissue lining of the abdominal cavity.

Peritoneal Mesothelioma can be tricky, as its symptoms are often confused with flu like symptoms. Often, once it is diagnosed, it is usually too late to successfully remove the tumor. Severe pain may also be caused by a tumor growth putting pressure on the stomach cavity.

If discovered early enough, it is possible to remove the tumor, but it high in risk.
